Surf Safely with InPrivate Browsing

While working on internet sometime we feel quite insecure especially during bank or CC transactions, online purchasing etc. Also, generally we avoid public places like cyber café for above mentioned tasks. Now, Microsoft has introduced a special feature with Internet Explorer 8 to give you a secure and complete private environment. This feature is known as InPrivate Browsing.

Basically, InPrivate Browsing protects your browsing session, history, temporary internet files, cookies, form data, username and passwords and all these data automatically erased soon after you close the browser. You can start InPrivate browsing in following ways …

[1] Open Internet Explorer 8 and simply press CTRL+SHIFT+P; InPrivate session will start in a new window.
[2] Also you can start by going IE8 Menu -> Tools -> InPrivate Browsing
[3] If you start a new tab on IE8 then you will get the InPrivate option on the new tab.

Check the following logo at the left of address bar to make sure that InPrivate browsing is on.

How InPrivate browsing protects you?

  • Cookies – This mode stores all cookies in memory and cleared soon you close the browser.
  • Temporary Internet Files – Temporary files are stored on your local disk but deleted automatically after your close the browser.
  • Browsing History – Browsing history not stored to keep your privacy.
  • Form Data and Password – These are not stored to keep your safe.
  • Also InPrivate browsing comes with Document Object Model storage and Automatic Crash Restore feature to provide you best possible security.
