Overcome Eye Fatigue due to Computer
For different reasons we need to spend hours in front of computer screen. Sometimes it exceeds 14-16 hrs. a day which can cause eye fatigue. Generally we ignore this matter and later on it can be very dangerous. Just following few simple steps we can easily overcome eye fatigue.
1. Monitor Positioning – It’s a very vital fact to positioning your monitor in a proper way. Keep the monitor in such a way that the stare is little downward approximately 20-25 degrees from horizontal. Also the sitting posture should be as straight as possible. Vision toward the monitor should be downward. Never position the monitor upward from your vision line.
2. Blink Regularly – If you need to stay long in front of monitor, blink your eyes frequently to prevent your eye cells from being dry. Dry eyes can cause problems like eye strain, fatigue and headache.
3. Vision Relax – In case you work hours after hours on computer, then after each 15 to 20 minutes keep your vision away from the monitor and look any object in far distance for 15-25 seconds and get back to your regular work. This kind of distance vision will keep your eye relaxed and protect you from bad headache.
4. Glass – Are you using glasses? If so then be sure it has anti-reflective coating on lens. This anti-reflective coating will protect your eyes from fatigue and glare. If you are using this type of glasses for first time, it may be little uncomfortable but gradually it will be normal as general glasses.
5. Eye Drops – Also you can use superior quality eye drops to keep your eyes wet. But before using, be sure that the eye drop is preservative free.
6. Consult your doctor – After doing all above steps if you are still facing eye fatigue, then it’s the time to consult your eye doctor without delaying.
