How to get PDF version of any printable document?
You can convert almost any printable document to PDF format in just couple of clicks. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a Word, Excel, Image, Email, HTML file and even it has support for other languages as well. Yes, I’m talking about CutePDF writer. It’s completely free and comes with a range of features to customize the output PDF.
Download CutePDF Writer from here and install it normally. It has support for all Windows versions. After installing, it will create a PDF printer and you can see it by going Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Printer and Faxes.
That’s all, now open any document and click print option, here select CutePDF Writer on the print dialog box like below.
To customize the output file, click the “Properties” button on the print dialog box followed by the advanced button and you will get all options for CutePDF like the screenshot below. Here you can set the paper size, choose the DPI, font etc as per your requirement.
As said earlier, CutePDF has support for different languages as well. But, to get this feature you need to install GhostScript on your system. GhostScript is also free and you can download it from here. You may find many other PDF writers on web, but personally I think this is the best free PDF writer. On the other hand, there is pro version of CutePDF which can be used for more advance PDF features.
Ive had problems with other pdf converters ive found online before. They said they are free but then they leave a watermark you can only get rid of but upgrading to a paid version, ill definitely try this one out.
